Channel drain sections are laid to move water toward the outlet, not just dropped into a sawcut. The invert, outlet height, and surrounding concrete slope are checked before the grate line is finalized.

What to expect from channel drains
Grates for wheel traffic
Pedestrian trench runs, garage thresholds, and forklift crossings each need a different bearing-bar layout. We size the grate for the tire or caster path that crosses the channel.
Frames locked in concrete
The channel body is haunched into concrete so the frame cannot spread under load. Thin patch strips beside busy drains are usually the first pieces to break.
Cleanouts where needed
Long channel runs collect sand, leaves, and sediment. We plan removable grate sections and outlet access so maintenance crews can clear the drain without breaking the trench open.
