What to expect from commercial kitchen grates
Cart wheels roll cleanly
Slot spacing has to work with dish carts, prep carts, and small equipment wheels. A wide industrial grate can catch wheels or utensils in a kitchen even if it carries the load.
Lift-out for cleaning
Kitchen drains need regular removal for trap and trench cleaning. Split sections, finger pulls, and manageable weights keep staff from prying up one heavy panel during service hours.
Flush with tile
The frame is set to finished floor height so mop water reaches the drain and staff do not trip over a lip. Tile thickness, slope, and grout lines are checked before fabrication.
