Checker plate, serrated grating, expanded metal, or coated surfaces are chosen around weather, wheels, and footwear. A ramp surface has to grip under real use.
Edges keep wheels on
Curbs, kick plates, guardrails, and handrails are added where carts, wheelchairs, or staff need edge protection. Open edges are not acceptable on raised ramps.
Anchors or portability decided
Some ramps need fixed base plates; others need removable pins or portable sections. The connection style follows how often the ramp moves.

Steel Ramps is custom-fabricated or coordinated for commercial, industrial, municipal, institutional, retail, and construction sites, where fit, access, durability, and site conditions matter more than a stock product.The Grate Guys builds steel ramps around drawings, measurements, traffic duty, finish exposure, and installation constraints using mild steel, structural steel, galvanized finish, powder-coat, stainless details, or aluminum where the site calls for it, made to order in our Toronto shop, licensed, insured, and WSIB-covered, with a workmanship warranty on every order, supplied and installed across the GTA and shipped Canada-wide.
