What to expect from steel bar grating
Cross bars lock spacing
Cross bars keep bearing bars aligned and stable. They do not replace the need for proper support at the ends of the grating.
Serration adds traction
Serrated bar grating can be used where water, oil, snow, or process residue makes footing more difficult. Plain bars are better for other conditions.
Banding finishes openings
Cut edges and penetrations are banded to protect the bars and make handling safer. Banding also gives the panel a clean bearing edge.

The Grate Guys builds steel bar grating around drawings, measurements, traffic duty, finish exposure, and installation constraints using mild steel, structural steel, galvanized finish, powder-coat, stainless details, or aluminum where the site calls for it, made to order in our Toronto shop, licensed, insured, and WSIB-covered, with a workmanship warranty on every order, supplied and installed across the GTA and shipped Canada-wide.
