What to expect from dunnage steel
Height clears services
Dunnage frames may need to lift equipment above roofing, piping, insulation, drains, or housekeeping pads. Clearance is built into the steel before installation.
Frames resist vibration
Mechanical equipment can shake a light frame loose over time. Bracing, plate thickness, and connection points are selected around vibration and operating weight.
Finish suits the location
Exterior roof dunnage, wet plant areas, and indoor storage supports need different coatings. Outdoor dunnage usually needs galvanizing or a coating system selected for standing moisture.

The Grate Guys builds dunnage steel around drawings, measurements, traffic duty, finish exposure, and installation constraints using mild steel, structural steel, galvanized finish, powder-coat, stainless details, or aluminum where the site calls for it, made to order in our Toronto shop, licensed, insured, and WSIB-covered, with a workmanship warranty on every order, supplied and installed across the GTA and shipped Canada-wide.
