Surfaces suit boots and carts
Grating, checker plate, or expanded metal is chosen around traction, drainage, and whether carts or tools cross the walkway. The surface has to match the work area.
Edges properly guarded
Handrails, toe boards, gates, and kick plates are added where the walkway crosses open sides or equipment below. Edge protection is not optional decoration.
Supports fit existing floors
Walkway posts and anchors are located around drains, embedded services, and forklift routes. The structure must fit the active facility, not just the drawing.
