We size the base plates and frame footprint so the unit's full operating dead load lands on the joists and beams below, not the roof deck. Every frame is detailed to your engineer's reactions so the path to structure is signed off before fabrication.
Each support is built tall enough to keep the RTU above the membrane, insulation, and curb flashing so water sheds and drains underneath. That clearance also lets roofers reflash around the legs years later without lifting the unit.
We set leg spacing and frame height to leave working room for filter swaps, coil access, and condensate lines on the panels your tech actually opens. The duct and pipe penetrations route through the frame instead of fighting it.
HSS members and plates are hot-dip galvanized so the steel holds up to standing rain, snow, and freeze-thaw on an exposed roof. The zinc coating carries the frame for decades without the rust bleed a painted stand develops up there.
